New Illinois is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization with the mission of educating Illinoisans about their RIGHT, under Article IV, Sec 3 of the U.S. Constitution, to pursue the formation of a new state separate from the State of Illinois. New Illinois is not addressing a political divide; rather it is addressing an urban vs. rural, small town, and suburban divide. New Illinois is made up of people who love our state, have roots and relationships here, and don’t want to move away. It’s not the place we want to leave – it’s the corrupt government. And unlike other government reform groups, we believe the government of Illinois is beyond reformation.

Our vision is of a State where residents will be able to enjoy truly representative government – a republican form of government – as guaranteed in Article IV, Sec 4 of the U.S. Constitution.
