SUMMARY:New Illinois 10th Constitutional Convention
DESCRIPTION:The 10th Constitutional Convention for New Illinois will be held at the Chateau Hotel and Conference Center\, 1621 Jumer Drive\, Bloomington. \nRegistration is from 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm. An optional prayer gathering will be held from 5:00 till 5:30. Social hour will be from 5:30 – 6:30. A VIP reception will also be held from 5:45 – 6:30. \nFriday evening dinner will be followed by a keynote address from Ted Dabrowski. Ted is a financial expert\, author\, and founder of Fight for Illinois. He will also speak on Saturday morning. \nSaturday morning will also feature Illinois State Senator Chris Balkema. A member of the state legislature since January 2025\, Sen. Balkema is the former Grundy County Board Chair. He currently serves on the Grundy County Economic Development Council. \nAfter a time for Q & A\, there will be a joint session of the New Illinois State Legislature. Constitution Committee Chair Dan Juffernbruch will provide a report on the progress of the second draft of the New Illinois State Constitution. \nSaturday afternoon\, there will be a working session of the New Illinois State Senate and Assembly. Concurrently\, New Illinois State Vice Chair Larry Mulch will hold a town hall and answer questions about New Illinois. \nEarly bird tickets will be available for purchase from October 13 through October 27\, with regular prices tickets available starting October 28. Tickets without meals will be available at the door with a surcharge.
